All our gemstone jewellery is set in 925 Sterling Silver. We have many different styles and sizes ranging from your everyday solid set gemstone to delicate filigree settings. Some pieces are single set gemstones and some are multi set, giving your the advantage of having several different gemstones in one piece that compliment each other, not only on looks, but also in healing properties. Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper. Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver but is generally too soft for producing jewellery, therefore 925 sterling silver is used to give the jewellery durability and strength. Chemically silver is not very reactive, however when exposed to some atmospheric pollutants, silver will very slowly produce a green/black tarnish which is easily removed by a gentle polish with a silver polishing cloth.
