The secret to accessorising
The first thing we all need to accept about fashion accessories is that it's all about colour! Splashes of beautiful, reds, oranges, yellows, turquoise, bright greens and pinks are all the style. The secret is to not have too many colours or colours that clash. The ultimate colour guide is to look at the colour wheel. Opposite colours are complimentary and adjacent colours may clash a little. For example, orange and blue go nicely as they are opposites, orange and red, not as much. I will not suggest that you can't pull it off, however it simply takes a lot more effort to achieve that special look. Colours also come in tricolor or triadic combinations that are ideally suited and form many traditional colour schemes. Try to keep the colours all of a similar nature. Keep deep red accessories with other deep reds and not bright reds, pinks or oranges.
Try to keep the colour scheme going throughout your entire outfit. For example. A black and white dress with a red belt, red clutch purse or handbag, with red shoes will look stunning, while the same dress with black shoes, red bag and blue belt won't have the same effect. Dark brown tends to go very well with bright colours like orange, lime green, turquoise. Black is also great for showcasing bright colours. If you are trying to put too many colours together, then perhaps white will be your greatest ally. White can break up anything and has the power to combine many different concepts together. Another secret to attaining the ideal look is to keep all your clothes and accessories on the same style level. If you are wearing a beautiful dress or skirt try not to dress it down with sandals. You are much better off going with a light summery dress or skirt that has the same care-free style as your sandals.
