Margot Robbie’s blond dye took its toll on her natural hair
Going from brunette to blond isn’t easy (ask Gwen Stefani, whose natural hair isn’t platinum blond, either), as the constant dying can result in the tell-tale signs of hair damage becoming increasingly obvious. And, unfortunately, Margot Robbie’s natural tresses have taken the brunt of her changing shades.
“I’ve got really s**t hair so it’s kind of hard to do my hair well. I really need a hairstylist to do my hair if it’s going to look good. I have like three hairs left on my head,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, explaining she wears extensions to make her mane appear fuller. “People are always like, ‘How do you have such healthy hair?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t.’ My hair is snapped off, it’s s**t, it’s gone, but hairstylists have suitcases full of fake hair and they make it look amazing,” she added.
The actor also has a few secret weapon hair products. She told Marie Claire U.K. she uses Klorane Dry Shampoo Powder to keep her tresses looking fresh and make her brunette regrowth less obvious. “It’s really good for adding texture and also helps disguise dark roots too,” she said. To bring some moisture back to Robbie’s hair, her hairstylist Halley Brisker used Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother Treatment while getting her ready for the 2024 Golden Globes. He explained it helped the “Bombshell” actor’s hair look more luminous. “[It looked] lit from within,” he said (via InStyle).
