5 Fashion Faux Pas at Tiffany Trump’s Baby Shower

Karen Shiboleth’s shoes were too bold for a spring baby shower

Socialite Karen Shiboleth didn’t get the pastel memo. Though the beauty stunned in her blue, satin dress, her eye-catching Fuschia pointed toe stilettos were more appropriate for a club than Tiffany Trump’s celebration. Though it’s hard to deny Shiboleth’s shoes made a statement, neutral footwear would have better fit for the occasion. To ensure Tiffany stayed the center of attention, a classic nude heel or sandal would have turned down the bold dial. Equally, stilettos are one of the the shoes you should think twice about wearing to a wedding or outdoor baby shower, as they’re not ideal if you have to walk on grass.

Michael Boulos’ oversized outfit added too much bulk to his body

Tiffany Trump’s husband Michael Boulos attended her sunny baby shower, but his outfit wasn’t his best. While we appreciate that the businessman kept his ensemble understated so he didn’t draw focus from his wife (seeing as it’s not traditional for dads to attend baby showers) his ensemble needed better tailoring. Boulos paired a simple, white shirt with dark brown pants, but the bottoms were so wide-legged they weren’t flattering. Though there are exceptions to any fashion rule, it’s usually a good idea to opt for at least one form-fitting garment with an oversized piece to avoid an outfit looking too slouchy and overwhelming.

Leanna Grau’s black-and-white outfit didn’t fit the aesthetic

In a group photo that Tiffany Trump’s mom Marla Maples (who’s rocked some leggy looks that prove age is just a number) shared on Instagram, family friend Leanna Grau can be seen wearing a strappy, plunging black-and-white, vertical stripe dress with a matching scarf. Though it may seem basic and expected, wearing pastels and florals to a spring baby shower is a go-to for a reason. Grau’s bold dress didn’t fit the theme and made her stand out amid the sea of delicate outfits. Dressing in a unique way usually isn’t a bad thing, but for certain milestone events, it can look like the fashion risk-tasker is trying to steal the focus.

Bettina Anderson’s black heels were out of season

Though socialite Bettina Anderson, girlfriend of Tiffany Trump’s half-brother Donald Trump Jr., dressed for spring, she left us confused with her shoe choice. She still looked gorgeous in her white skater dress featuring a blue flower print, but her ensemble was ruined by her black, mid-heel, pointed toe slingbacks. Her odd footwear was totally out of season and a missed opportunity to elevate her outfit, particularly as Ivanka and Lara Trump both opted for delicate, spring appropriate heeled sandals in their group snap. Metallics were declared a hot shoe trend for 2025, and a barely-there, silver, heeled sandal would have made much more sense with Anderson’s elegant dress.

Elvira Grau’s black pants were too dark and stuffy for a spring event

Marla Maples’ longtime friend Elvira Grau attended Tiffany Trump’s special day in a button-up shirt featuring multi-colored, bright flowers over a black background. She paired it with wide-leg, black pants. Though the look flattered the beauty’s figure, the dark bottoms weren’t the best choice in the Palm Beach heat. To avoid overheating and better assimilate with the lighter tones fellow partygoers wore, an airy, wide-leg, white, linen pant would have been a wiser choice, especially as they were declared a huge trend for spring 2025.
