Reese Witherspoon’s Top Denim Outfits (She’s the Queen of Jeans)

What do you wear in Paris? Jeans. In a very adorable photo shared to Instagram in May 2023, Reese Witherspoon showed off her jeans with the caption: “Bonjour from Paris!” She wore a pair of ’90s high-rise straight-leg jeans in a rich blue wash. She styled them by casually, tucking in a classic white t-shirt with some statement platform sandals and a leather bag. It was the perfect Parisienne outfit: very cool, understated, and chic.   

Reese Witherspoon is all about variety when it comes to the denim washes she wears. She took to Instagram in March 2025 to share new looks from her clothing line, Draper James, including a pair of mid-rise, straight-leg jeans with rolled hems. Witherspoon styled the lighter pant with white, strappy sandals and a delicate, white knit top. The jeans were a great sampling of an everyday kind of look with a relaxed, casual flair perfect for spring. 

Among her many other passions and talents, Reese Witherspoon is also an avid reader. This is why she founded her passion project, Reese’s Book Club. To promote new authors, Witherspoon often posts photos with her favorite books and, almost every time, she’s reading in jeans. In one photo, Witherspoon can be seen sitting in an open door frame wearing a pair of medium blue wash jeans with the hems rolled. The rich, mid-tone denim paired beautifully with the feminine, cotton blouse she wore. Meanwhile, the scuff marks on the jeans indicated this is no doubt a pair of jeans she’s worn many times. 

While Reese Witherspoon loves her lighter denims, the actor and film producer also goes for classic dark washes for fall. In one photo shared to Instagram in November 2020, Witherspoon posed next to a pumpkin while wearing an rich, dark blue straight-leg jean cropped at the ankle. She paired these bolder jeans with a burgundy sweater and white sneakers. While she can sashay down any red carpet in full glam, Witherspoon also clearly loves a casual fit, and wears it well. 

Don’t forget about white denim, because Reese Witherspoon certainly hasn’t. The crisp, summer choice plays well with literally anything. For Witherspoon, she styled her white jeans, featuring a raw, shredded hem, with braided sandals and a bright, tropical top. A cocktail and a dog made for nice accessories. While white denim is traditional in the spring and summer, its versatility makes it a welcome base in any season, and Witherspoon’s love of lighter denim proves that she wears white jeans all year long.
