How Nicole Kidman’s Appearance Has Evolved Over the Years, According to Our Plastic Surgeon

Plastic surgery procedures that Nicole Kidman may have had over the years

There are two areas that Dr. Brian Reagan believes Nicole Kidman may have tweaked over the years. The first is the shape of her face. “When she was younger, she had a rounder, fuller face. As she aged, her face thinned, which is probably related to nutrition and weight loss,” Dr. Reagan exclusively tells Glam. (Most women lose fat in their faces as they age.) But Dr. Reagan points out that the fullness reappeared in her 50s, explaining, “I believe she may have had some fat grafting at this time because her face appeared a little fuller. These results have remained stable through her current age.” Fat grafting involves transferring fat from one area of the body to another to make it look plumper.

Dr. Reagan also believes that Kidman may have had a lower face left and a neck lift. “Around the age of 50, you start to see some laxity in her lower face and neck. She also had an obtuse angle [a rounded rather than sharp jawline]. In subsequent photos, this appears corrected, suggesting that around her 50s, she had a lower face and neck lift,” he breaks down for us. When it comes to her skin, Dr. Reagan suggests that she likely had laser resurfacing, a skincare treatment with minimal downtime. “Because she has fair skin, we would typically start to see some changes in skin quality by her 40s. But in her photos, you don’t really see much sun damage, possibly due to makeup or possibly because she had some laser resurfacing in her 30s and 40s,” Dr. Reagan adds (or, as Kidman asserts, because she’s a sunscreen loyalist).

Going forward, Dr. Reagan recommends that she continue fat grafting and maintaining her skin quality with periodic resurfacing through lasers or microneedling (here’s what to expect after microneedling). “Overall, she’s done a wonderful job preserving her natural look. Again, a beautiful woman and her work looks natural,” he concludes.
