Too loud in gold at the Biebers’ wedding
Kylie Jenner garnered the wrong kind of attention back in 2019 for an over-the-top gold gown she wore to Justin and Hailey Bieber’s nuptials. With its shimmering metallic fabric and deep cutaways, the dress was a dramatic choice for a guest and risked pulling attention from the intended center of attention: the couple. Jenner caught plenty of flack on social media. One Reddit commenter observed, “If some bish showed up at my wedding dressed like that, I’d throw them out on their ear.” Another Reddit commenter offered a theory as to why Jenner, and her sister Kendall, seems so compelled to compete for the spotlight: “They’re jealous and that’s why they pull these attention grabbing stunts at other women’s weddings.”
Of course, Jenner is no stranger to fashion mistakes. Over the years, Jenner’s style has gone from blue hair to British Vogue, getting more sophisticated — and expensive. But the curvy reality star loves a skin-baring, lingerie-inspired moment and that’s an aesthetic that doesn’t always suit the moment.
