Angourie Rice got her love of writing from her mother
With a mom as a playwright who has received the Australian Writers Guild Award, it’s clear Angourie Rice inherited Kate Rice’s knack for storytelling. “Kate is a writer and has been writing for a long time. I grew up just admiring that and loving writing as well, but obviously ended up going in the performing arts route,” Angourie told People. Despite being an award-winning writer, going the novel route was unfamiliar to Kate, so both she and Angourie had a learning curve. ” I’d never written a novel, and neither had she, so we were exploring that together,” the “Mare of Easttown” actor shared.
