Karoline’s yellow look was wrinkly and unbalanced
We appreciate that Karoline Leavitt tapped into the butter yellow color-trend with her monochrome outfit, but the pastel ensemble unfortunately looks more sloppy than chic. For one, the press secretary’s pants have some notable wrinkles, a common clothing pitfall that can make any outfit look cheap and unprofessional. In this way, ironing is the one step that can make your clothing look more expensive, with starch being a great wrinkle-avoiding tool.
While Leavitt’s flared pants and vest-style top seemed to be part of a matching set given their color, the shape and silhouette of the combined pieces seemed a bit unbalanced. The sleeveless, button-up shirt was unusually long, with the curved hem falling at the upper-thigh. Plus, while long vests have been super trendy lately, they’re often paired with straight or wide-leg pants. Leavitt’s flared bottoms created an awkward appearance that elongated her torso, while shortening her legs.
We’re also not a big fan of the styling choices, specifically taking issue with the square-toed, chocolate heels, as the butter yellow pieces would be better paired with a richer brown, a bold black, or even a navy blue. Ultimately, it’s important to note that fashion is about personal style, comfort, and self-expression, so individuals should feel free to dress however they want to. While we have a few issues with Karoline Leavitt’s wardrobe, we trust that the press secretary will continue to dress however she sees fit.
