Karoline Leavitt’s Natural Look Without Makeup

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt may be gravitating toward heavier and heavier beauty looks as she settles into her role, but that’s not because she needs it. Leavitt absolutely glows without makeup. For instance, one Instagram post from 2017 shows the now-politico smiling brightly beside her mother, both of them fresh-faced. From her casual, beachy hair to her natural tan, Leavitt looked like the quintessential girl next door. In another Instagram post from the same year, Leavitt posed with a dog in her lap and her natural beauty on display. Her clear skin and delicate brows didn’t require any extra help to stand out.

Good luck finding more recent makeup-free photos, though. While Leavitt doesn’t always opt for full glam in public, most of her selfies and social media pics involve at least a modicum of makeup. It seems like a shame — while Leavitt should certainly wear whatever makes her feel the most confident and comfortable, we miss seeing her inherent gorgeousness shine through.

Now that Karoline Leavitt regularly runs press briefings, she needs to be camera-ready at the drop of a hat, which may explain her increasingly pronounced makeup looks. She’s still managed to retain a lot of her natural charm, but it may only be a matter of time before the pressure pushes Leavitt beyond mere cosmetics and into the “Mar-a-Lago face” plastic surgery trend. As it is, onlookers are already speculating whether Leavitt has started turning to procedures like lip fillers.

Meanwhile, a user on X, formerly Twitter, posted a side-by-side comparison of Leavitt before and after she joined the Trump campaign, highlighting her so-called “Trump makeover.”

With the extreme publicity of serving as press secretary, the weight of scrutiny on Leavitt will likely get worse before it gets better, and she may feel inclined to uphold the unspoken conservative standard of plumped lips, fake tan, sooty lashes, and chronic blush blindness. Only time will tell how far Leavitt takes it, though — let’s just hope she doesn’t mimic some of the Trump family’s biggest makeup mistakes.
