Katie Holmes is usually a fashion inspiration, but she made it on our list of the worst-dressed celebs at the 2025 Tony Awards. We don’t know what she was thinking by pairing her ill-fitting emerald-green shirt with a column bejeweled maxi skirt in a pale, bubblegum-pink shade. The boxy cut of the taffeta top enveloped her frame in an unflattering way, and tucked into the low-waisted skirt, it made the proportions look off. Holmes’ outfit may have been a nod to “Wicked,” but she should have followed the Yellow Brick Road to a new stylist.<\/p>\n

Did Little Red Riding Hood get lost on the way to the 2023 Tony Awards? It certainly appeared that way when Sara Bareilles showed up wearing a long red-caped dress with a bow at her waist. While the deep-crimson color was simply gorgeous, the gown could have done without the caged sleeves and weird cutouts at the sides. Accessorized with a glittery red headband, Bareilles looked like she got detoured on the way to Grandma’s house, and we have to say, we’re not going to write a love song about this ‘fit.<\/p>\n

Idina Menzel must’ve been method-dressing for a new role as a hypnotist at the 2024 Tonys\u00a0because her black dress with the increasingly smaller oval holes toward her middle definitely had us mesmerized \u2014 but not in a good way. Fortunately, the “Frozen” actor chose not to accessorize with too much jewelry, as there was already enough going on with her gown. Judging from Menzel’s expression, even she was stunned by her getup, or perhaps she was trying to recall what made her choose the dress in the first place. Either way, she should let it go.<\/p>\n

While there wasn’t anything wrong with the fitted top or bottom half, the balloon detail in the middle was completely unnecessary. We don’t know what compelled Moschino to add such a bizarre pouf to an otherwise stunning silhouette, and the only other thing we’re wondering is how Paulson managed to sit during the show with that big bauble shape encircling her waist.<\/p>\n

With her round “Harry Potter” glasses, Goldberg looked like she was about to cast a spell, and if we had the power, we would transfigure her whole outfit.<\/p>\n

Instead of being dressed for celebrating Broadway’s best, the “Lady Bird” actor’s attire was reminiscent of a prom thrown decades ago, complete with platform sandals with wraparound laces.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It certainly looked that way when she showed up in a black-and-gray dress with leather sleeves and a speckled skirt featuring a white zig-zag hem. Added to the hodgepodge look was a black bralette worn over the head-scratching creation. If Blanchett’s MO was to confuse onlookers with her patchwork dress, it worked.<\/p>\n
