I looked like I was nine months pregnant,&#8221; she told People. It turned out that she had ovarian and uterine cancer, and the doctors told her that the best course was chemotherapy, followed by a hysterectomy. Knowing that she&#8217;d experience hair loss, Barrett took matters into her own hands. &#8220;I didn&#8217;t want to give the power to chemo. My hair has always been an essence of beauty. But I took my own razor, and I shaved my head,&#8221; she shared.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After bravely sharing her story, Barrett posted a picture of herself grinning while flaunting her shaved head. &#8220;I am Blown away at the support and love that I&#8217;ve received. Thank you for the encouragement. It means a lot to me and my family at this time,&#8221; she wrote. In May 2022, Barrett showed off her celebrity pixie cut that just might inspire your next super short haircut.
