Along with the pics were racy texts between Lauren and the Amazon owner while they were still married to their respective spouses. Although many fingers pointed to Michael being the culprit who shared the deets to the tabloid, he told Business Insider, “As the ‘Amazon investigators’ proved, I was never sent the numerous penis photos Jeff Bezos sent my sister Lauren. And I never had access to the penis photos. Therefore it is impossible for me to have provided Jeff Bezos’ penis photos to The National Enquirer.”<\/p>\n

In retaliation, Michael sued Bezos for defamation, which was later dismissed, and he was ordered to pay the tycoon over $200,000 in legal fees, per Business Insider. According to Orna and Matthew Walters, the legal drama likely caused friction between Lauren and Bezos. “Lauren’s brother sued Bezos over the accusation that he revealed their affair to The National Enquirer, including sending explicit pictures and texts between the couple,” they exclusively pointed out to Glam. “Marrying someone joins two families together. If the relationship is actively creating a wedge between family members, this red flag could doom the relationship,” the love experts added.
