Yep, two of your favorite wardrobe pieces combined into one…how great is that?

Not sure if I love the current trends, since everything that has come out over the last several years seems to have been copied from decades past. The 90s’ and Y2K looks just remind me middle school. Really, these clothes look like they came from a Khol’s clearance rack, circa 1999. To be honest, I am pretty bored with fashion now. Also, it is a little aggravating to be asked to pay a lot of money for clothes that you could have snagged from your childhood bedroom closet at your parents’ house. i feel like the current trends are mostly covering a sense of body appreciation, but without the tight or showy clothing. For example the dior cruise line had a lot of silhouette cut, fitting clothing, so that it was loose, but still able to see and appreciate the body underneath it. SO overall, this year is going to be a lot of wearing how much or how little you want, but still bring able to love a body for what it is.

Sometimes I love and sometimes I hate how they change the fashion trends, to suit their pockets. I mean, the leading fashion designers are creating trends and styles just for the sake of bringing something new and fresh, and then those styles and new trends are copied by the fast fashion giants and replicated. One piece of advice I can give is to keep your old clothes. Never put them in the bin because the latest fashion trends become obsolete for a few years and then they all come back. Right now I have a lot of baggy jeans – that went out of fashion for the last five years, with these skinny and super skinny jeans trends that have taken over the catwalks, maybe because of the emergence of androgynous and more feminine styles for men, but I digress – and I see that designers going back to that style again. Fashion trends? How about vegan fashion trends? A lot of supposed “cruelty-free” or “humane” farms have shown otherwise…some of the most despicable videos I’ve seen and abuses happen on “organic/free-range farms” so it will be the same with all industries…wherever there is an animal used to sell a product there is injustice and cruelty that happens because at that end of the day that animal is not seen as an individual with wants and needs but a dollar sign of limited value and purpose in this world besides what we take from it.

I’m confused about why you would include fast-fashion crochet pieces at the very beginning of the article? Fast-fashion crochet pieces can’t be machine-made as knit can. And then, later in the article, you have the audacity to praise slow fashion. Who do you think hand crochets those sweaters you present, and how much do you think they got paid for them? What happened to sustainability in fashion?

I kind of fail to understand your pov here? I personally don’t care about sustainability or climate change. I just want to look good, and this article helps me a lot. It is about the latest trends, not about some other propagandistic bullshit about saving the planet, fast fashion, and veganism activism. I think you’re barking at the wrong tree or confused the magazine.

It is crazy to see how we always return to old trends, like every 30-40 years or so, but with minor variations. For example, this year we are returning to baggy jeans, after two years of skinny jeans for men. And, as new fashion trends, I see that gym clothes are permeating in the office culture, well, assuming we are back to the office anytime soon. Great article, by the way, love seeing how nicely you’ve complemented the trends with relevant fashion trends pics. Good work!

Loved this article covering the latest fashion trends in 2022, I just wished you guys covered a bit of the fashion trends from the middle east as well because I think there are small stylistic variations. But then again, I never knew who to follow when it comes to the latest fashion trends…Should I look at Tokyo and its streetwear culture? Or, follow London’s designers with their punk, rebellious fashion styles? Or French designers with their polished, classic looks? Or New York designers with their office-wear cuts and styles? Or is it the celebrities who decide what we wear? Because we also have a lot of celebrities here in the middle east that sport unique styles, very popular amongst teenagers in this part of the world. Anyway, enough ramble from me, loved the article and I am looking fwd to many more excellent reads.

From all of the new fashion trends, I can’t stand the microscopic luxury bags! Can’t even fit a phone in those things!

Are crochet trends back this summer. I love them! It’s my go-to festival outfit. Just pair a nice crochet top with ripped jeans shorts – cute and sexy!

I think these trends are quite accurate. I live in NYC and see a lot of young girls and boys in the 90’s and Y2K aesthetic. Lots of spring-summer bright colors and florals, white flared pants with a green or lavender top. I also see a lot of bold patterns and some funky patterns. Still low pony, delicate gold jewelry accents. Lots of babydoll or oversized dresses, that are very airy bigger than a bag dress style. Long and short.
My favourite is the Reformation style: floral midi dresses, puff sleeves, and delicate feminine looks. Fisherman sandals, block heels, or platforms (like those Steve Madden platform sandals that stretch on top). Thoguh, more avant-garde crowd is wearing lots of tulles, high-volume dresses, and outfits. Short bangs, long hair. Chunky shoes, not just sneakers or sandals but weird sort of bulbous shoes. Lots of black and neon green. Neon is definitely back. This year, I see Less athleisure than last year (at least in NYC). Match sets are still in but with a more formal vibe. Lots of interesting shorts, a-line, and men’s boxer shorts as women’s shorts seem to be very in. Straight-leg jeans are everywhere when it’s cooler, similar profile to shorts.

How about we talk about recent fashion trends that we can’t stand? I recently watched a video where a girl was talking about how she’d “been photographed” in a certain T-shirt too many times so she had to toss it. I was like….”Really B? It’s not that you’re a native Indian-American who believes a piece of their soul will be stolen with each picture, it’s a goddamn T-shirt. As long as you own a good couple of shirts, no one is going to give a shit if they see a few of them in heavy rotation. Other than that, I love your article, I think it is great you’re including lots of modern fashion styles for people to learn and wear. Yet, those of you reading my comment, stop being d…s and wear your clothes for more than just an Instagram picture.

Love updating my style as often as possible – I mean as soon as the new season is out. But, I also feel that when it comes to the latest fashion releases and trends, designers are still doing all kinds of “macaroni in a pot”. Anyway, I feel that in 2022 we’ll see short, sheer, and second-skin garments making a sexy comeback.

I personally like loud logos because it reminds me of many 90s fashion dresses and outfits. Looking at these “latest” fashion trends, you can see that there’s a cycle and now the 90s fashion is coming back.

I am not much of a fashioista myself but this was a very fun read. I follow many celebrities and half of these trends reminds me of their “airport fashion”. I am sure you have seen South Korean celebs Airport Fashion. They look so stunning.

Japanese and British designers are the best, followed by Frech. Italian designers, at least the contemporary ones, are super commercial and kitschy for poor and wannabe-trendy people that just made a bit of cash and want to show off.

I love to see the alternative fashion comeback! But the alternative movement was supposed to be against consumerism, while the new alt people who got hella popular in places like TikTok and Insta are spending thousands on high-heel boots and costumes. They are the biggest consumers, yet they claim it’s alt!

Fall is my ride-or-die season for fashion! I get so many compliments during fall, my fall pieces are golden for me. I have been watching and reading over fall trendy forecasts and absolutely love your round-up! I’ve noticed some of the ideas mentioned are the same as last year (ex. I think wide-legged pants are gonna be a big fashion trend this Fall/Winter. I don’t like to overturn my entire closet at once, but I’m slowly bringing more wider-legged pants into my closet. Started off with two pairs of straight leg a couple of years ago, and got a great pair of flares last year. I am really over skinny jeans except for boots, so I desperately need to add another pair or two this season!
